No news!

Well - it is May 9th, 2006. We have not heard anything as of yet! We have received a new approval from BCIS (only took 4 months) and all of our documents have be re-done for at least the 5th or 6th time.
The good news is that we did get signed on as Coordinators for the Gradisk Internat in Kremenchuk via Life2Orphans.org
Please visit the link to the right for Life2Orphans.org and click on "Gradisk".
We can use all the help we can get!
Keep us in your thoughts - hoping for a appointment date this summer!

Well - it's March 2006 and no word!

Well - we have not posted in awhile as there is no news to post! Our apparent March 2006 appointment date will not be happening. The National Adoption Center (NAC) in Ukraine was shut down for awhile to do re-organization. Currently, Ukraine is not accepting any new adoption dossiers from the US. We are fortunate to already be registered! There will be a new ministry taking over adoptions in May 2006. We are in the process of waiting for new approvals from USCIS (immigration) which has already taken over 3 months! We are still keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for a summer appointment so that we do not have to pull the boys out of school for the journey!
We will update again when we get some "better" news to share!

Good news received!

We were very lucky to receive an email from our translator in Ukraine that our appointment has been scheduled for sometime in March 2006 - and that we should be receiving a letter of confirmation soon! With that great news - it is time to finally update our Immigration paperword and the adoption Home Study! Let the countdown begin!

Greetings from the Libenows!

Welcome to our page! We are so excited to share our adventure with you! This page marks the start of our journey back to Ukraine. We are anticipating our travel to occur in March 2006. We are very excited to revisit the country that Alex and Jason were born in. It was over 4 years ago that we traveled to Kremenchuk Ukraine and came back with two terrific souvenigners!
Our goal on this trip is to return with another sibling for Alex and Jason to play with!
Follow our journey with us - and enjoy the ride!
John, Amy, Alex and Jason
