Well, the months of anticipation and hard work getting prepped for Big A's porkers has finally paid off! The hubby, Big A and myself went yesterday and got the pigs!
Technically - Big A got the pigs, I just paid for them!
They actually did it as a lottery type thing - so to speak! Each 4-Her got to pick a number and that is how they picked them out of the pig pile in the first picture! Unfortunately, Big A got #15 - so he was almost last! One is the leaders, Brandon, helped him choose the pigs - which was a great help! All of these pigs were shipped down from Canada - so literally, Canadian Bacon! hehe! Once the lottery started, and as they pulled each chosen pig out of the pen, the squealing began! Big A was extremely apprehensive when this all started.... it was sort of cute! He kept backing up further and further from the pen and backing into Brandon, who had to gently push him back towards the fence!
We brought them home (still have no idea if they are male or female!) got them unloaded and now Big A is on his own! He managed to get them fed, watered and got them started on some mud!
They are sure cute at this size! The cuteness will probably wear off in about 20 pounds!
